Fruit and Veggie Detox; Salad and Fumi Furikake Seasoning

Are you having fun yet? I am. I will be honest, it goes in in waves. For grown ups that's life right? I mean we are not at the amusement park, we are living, true satisfaction is basically within the confines of our choices-- clearly in the picture above I was about to make a choice all on my own. Those are the best ones. That way, if you mess up, you only have yourself to blame.

Right now, inspired of course by the California sunshine, I am doing a detox. I am doing all liquids. It's a menudo of stuff. I am drinking the Master Cleanse powder form. I drink a fruit smoothie with Maca powder and banana and then a green smoothie with tofu for dinner. I also purchased these green superfoods packets that you add water or orange juice to. I am a woman on the go. I plan to go maybe 10 days. I could go 50. I am just honoring and listening to myself and doing whatever I want to do. That is the theme and the mantra. Honoring myself. Also, I am in prime listening mode and creativity mode.

Last night I completed day one of my detox and fast. I feel like I am REALLY detoxing. This can almost be counted as day two but I had a salad the night before so it wasn't full on. Yesterday was full on. In the morning I feel as though I am dragging a little bit. I think in about two more days I will feel jipper and pumped.

This morning I made a huge smoothie with banana, tofu, mango, blueberries, strawberries and ice. It was super huge. I plan to sip on it throughout the day. Tonight I will make a green smoothie with all of the veggies that I made. I was totally inspired when I went to Los Angeles to eat and live healthy like I used to. Right now I am sipping on the powdered version of the Master Cleanse. It tastes exactly like the real thing.

So, I feel the need to set the record straight. I am under no circumstances "transitioning" to meat. I simply honored my body last week and ate some shrimp and some Mahi Mahi bites. As every stranger that has come within a two mile radius of me and has had the pleasure of listening to all my business with the disclaimer of "you'll never see me again anyway so.." knows I have been really self aware at the moment of my likes and dislikes. Pain will make your senses highly acute. I love it. I love to feel. It's the not feeling that makes me feel like I'm trapped on some version of the Truman Show. Getting back to the food...

(Cold Play Viva La Vida- That's what I'm thinking)

I also decided that for the few folks that were on the fence about becoming complete vegetarians but wanted to make a slow transition into vegetarianism by eliminating all poultry and meat from their diet except fish I wanted to include some recipes for them. Fish can good. Especially when it is caught directly from the ocean. When I was at Julius and V's house we made salads and swam and sat in the jacuzzi two times a day for hours. Here is a fantastic salad I made with some tuna and this Japanese seasoning. It is a must have. I am going to spend all my money on this seasoning.

(This salad also has Quinoa which is a Superfood on the side and feta cheese)

(This is the seasoning. It's yummy.)

My only revelation today is make sure that you are happy and that those around you truly want your happiness. My mom use to tell me sometimes, "I lived my life, you have to decide this for yourself." That's love. My other revelation came was when I was at the Beyonce concert and I watched her perform and I was listening to her and I remembered the countless hours I used to spend in my room listening to Mary or Mariah and just write or be in girl groups or write. I used to walk trails and just spend so much time writing. It was cool it didn't seem like a job, it seemed like a habit, but I went to school for it. That's what I do now, who knows?

A non inspired person told me that you can write anywhere, you can create anywhere. Geographically yes, you can. Spiritually no. Now that I look down at my little star on my wrist, I know what I need to do every single morning. So stay tuned for day two of my detox.
